An excellent and rapidly growing higher education provider is seeking a Higher Education Manager to lead governance, compliance, and operations across its higher education portfolio.




An excellent and rapidly growing higher education provider is seeking a Higher Education Manager to lead governance, compliance, and operations across its higher education portfolio. The role partners closely with the Student Success Manager and Higher Education Administration Manager to deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient academic operations aligned with TEQSA, CRICOS, and PRISMS standards. The position reports to the Head of Higher Education and is based at the organisation’s West Perth head office.

After a structured onboarding period, the role offers scope to take on broader coordination responsibilities across the Student Success and Higher Education Administration functions. As the successful candidate builds familiarity with systems and processes, these areas may gradually report into the role. Future remuneration reviews will reflect the individual’s contribution and the evolving scope of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support TEQSA, CRICOS, and SAA compliance reporting and audits.
  • Maintain accuracy of TCSI and PRISMS data and oversee EQuals documentation.
  • Coordinate governance boards (BoS, BoE) and annual governance work plans.
  • Develop and maintain academic calendars and monitor student lifecycle processes.
  • Manage complex student complaints and appeals.
  • Support Doctor of Engineering (DEng) program administration.
  • Facilitate lecturer onboarding and workload approvals.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives and quality reporting.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum five years’ experience in higher education administration, compliance, or governance.
  • Strong understanding of TEQSA, CRICOS, PRISMS, and TCSI frameworks.
  • Proven background in process improvement and academic quality assurance.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and detail-focused with strong relationship skills.
  • Confident managing multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines.

  • Reports to: Head of Higher Education
  • Team scope growth: potential for elements of Student Success and Higher Education Administration to report into the role following probation, subject to performance and organisational needs.
  • Hybrid work: up to two days WFH per week after probation.
  • Remuneration reviews: aligned with contribution and scope growth.
